Approval of Notes –The notes of November 30, 2021 with the addition of the link to  Faculty Prioritization List for 2022-2023 were approved.

DASG Report given by Sharon Utomo: While the De Anza Student Governance Senate will not meet until January 12, 2022 the DASG Finance has been meeting on the first draft of the 2022-2023 DASG Budget – Fund 46 and Fund 41.

Strengthening Institutions Program Grant Award Update: “Meeting Students Where They Are” https://www.deanza.edu/sip-grant/ will be tabled to meeting of January 18th due to availability of Lydia Hearn.

Timeline for Program Review and Resource Allocations: Christina stated that there was approximately $4,000,000 available for allocation: $3.5 million from Instructional Equipment funds and $550,000 in Lottery funds. The requested amounts were $6,617,373.43 plus $573,597.97 for emergency purchases for a total of $7,190,971.40. Christina shared a possible scenario of how these available funds could be split among the divisions. Basically, those Divisions requesting less than $100,000 would receive 100% of amount requested while the other Divisions would receive 50% of their requested amount with the exception of Biological, Health and Environmental Sciences Division and Business, Computer Science and Applied Technologies Division, which would receive 28% and 43% respectively. However, it was pointed out that two divisions will have access for Strong Workforce and Perkins funds that was estimated to be $3M. Randy will have more exact figures at the IPBT meeting of January 25th.

Concern was voiced that IPBT members had not referred back to Program Review (2019-2020 is most current) nor the justifications from the spreadsheets submitted in Fall of 2021 if this scenario was implemented.

    Good of the Order:

Khoa Nguyen asked why the title of the position approved by IPBT on November 16, 2021 as “Equity & Engagement LGBTQ+ Faculty Coordinator” is being hired as “Faculty Coordinator/Counselor, PRIDE Center”. He and his constituents are concerned that the addition of Counselor in the title might mean some potential candidates will not meet the counselor minimum qualifications.
