PHYS 2B
General Physics II

Course Description

In this course, the laws of mechanics will be applied to those of electricity and magnetism. The course will introduce the physical properties of that fundamental quantity called charge, as well as the study of DC and AC circuits and their elementary applications. Finally, it concludes with electromagnetic waves. In the laboratory, students will learn to construct elementary circuits, measure and analyze their properties with electronic equipment, including the oscilloscope, and study the behavior of moving charges in magnetic fields.
