Applied Human Anatomy and Physiology: Levels of Organization
Course Description
This is a survey of human anatomy and physiology with emphasis on the homeostatic limits of the human body. Topics to be discussed include a basic introduction and body organization, the chemical basis of life, the cell and its metabolism, tissues, and the skin.
(This course is especially suited for students planning careers in medical assisting, Licensed Vocational Nursing, education, speech, home economics, psychology, physical education, or recreation.)

FULLY ONLINE. This is a 6-week class, from 1/5/26 through 2/13/26. This is an online lecture, laboratory class. The lecture do not have scheduled meeting and can be completed independently each week on the students own time. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and and individual email address. Most DeAnza classes will use the Canvas course management system. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests.
