Biography
Here are a few fun facts about Professor Lewis:
She attended Modesto Junior College, then transferred to San Francisco State University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in History with a Minor in Women’s Studies in 2002.
She received a Master’s Degree in United States History with an emphasis on Race, Ethnicity, and Gender in 2009, also from San Francisco State University.
Before coming to De Anza, she worked as a substitute teacher in Burlingame, CA.
She is the Department Chair for African American Studies at De Anza.
On a personal note, she loves music, photography, pop culture, and trivia game shows.
