Strategic Plan: 2027-2030

The 2027-2030 Strategic Plan was approved in Fall 2025 the college approved a new Strategic Plan to begin fall 2027. At that time, the college was funded by apportionment based on total student enrollment. Since then, the college has transitioned to a community-based funding model based that does not rely as heavily on enrollment growth. The approved 2027-2030 strategic plan was written based on enrollment growth in all areas. At the May 2026 Townhall meeting, the college agreed to review and revise the 2027-30 Strategic Plan to move away from a focus on enrollment growth to one of timely student attainment of their educational goal. It was also agreed to reduce the number of metrics included in the plan.  

The College Planning Committee will lead the revision of the 2027-2030 Strategic Plan in the 2026-27 academic year. The following campuswide engagement activities will be held to gather input and feedback on the revision process:  

All Townhall meetings will be held on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in MLC255 or Zoom.

Fall 2026

  • October 9, 2026: Feedback from Opening Day Community Conversation
    • This Townhall will share the college wide feedback from Opening Day community conversations, kicking off the strategic plan process. 
  • October 16, 2026: Strategic Plan: Where we are, Where we are going
    • This Townhall will provide a summary of the work that has taken place on the action plans from the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan. These plans will be wrapping up in Spring 2026. We will also share plans for updating the 2027-2030 Strategic Plan. 
  • November 6, 2026: Program Review and Program Maps
    • This Townhall will share a draft of the instructional program review template and updates to the program maps. The new program review process will begin in Fall 2027 on a four-year cycle with programs staggered each year. 
  • November 16, 2026: AI Infrastructure 
    • More information forthcoming 

Winter 2027

  • January 15, 2027: Learning from on the Year of Reflection
    • This Townhall will share progress from departments campuswide on reflecting on the college’s North Star of timely educational goal attainment.
  • February 5, 2027: Feedback on the Strategic Plan, 2027-2030
    • This Townhall will share progress on revising the 2027-2030 Strategic Plan and share a draft of the plan for feedback. 
  • March 5, 2027: Sharing the Final Program Review Process
    • This Townhall will showcase the final program review process including new templates for Instruction, Student Services, Academic Services and Equity programs. 
  • March 12, 2027: Updates on our Basic Aid Status
    • This Townhall will share updates and progress on our transition to a basic-aid funding model.

Spring 2027 

  • April 16, 2027: Final Strategic Plan, 2027-2030
    • This Townhall will share the final draft of the revised Strategic Plan, 2027-2030 including action plans to guide the college in attaining its North Star. 
  • May 7, 2027: Program Review Training + Program Maps 
    • This Townhall will provide an overview of the program review process and serve as a training for programs engaging in program review in Fall 2027.
