This annual event provides an opportunity for more than 400 individual students to share their research and ideas. In line with De Anza’s institutional core competencies, today is an opportunity for students to recognize their role as local, national and global citizens.

We hope that our workshops present you with an opportunity to participate in the democratic process, practice respect for social and cultural diversity, appreciate the complexity of the physical world, and understand the significance of environmental sustainability

10th Anniversary LEAD Global Issues Conference Program

It could be said that home is not where you live; it’s where they understand you. But, in this time of global unrest and shifting political and cultural landscapes, where is home? And who understands us? How do we make ourselves at home when we fear we may never be fully understood? Or when our home is being taken away from us? This year’s LEAD Global Issues conference will focus on stories of claiming home, challenging prejudice, resisting displacement, and celebrating the places we love and the values we are not willing to lose.
